From then on, I was essentially paying for Netflix in Turkish Lira via the credit I added. <em>(I personally kept the VPN turned on for Netflix during the first couple of weeks as a precaution &#8211; I had read that new accounts might be restricted if used outside the signup country in the first 30 days. In my case, I didn\u2019t encounter any problems, and after that initial period I used Netflix without VPN.)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stream your favorite series and movies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When your balance is used up, you can either redeem a new gift card or add another payment method to continue your subscription.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips_Warnings_and_Important_Information\"><\/span>Tips, Warnings, and Important Information<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some <strong>important tips and things to keep in mind<\/strong> from my experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Use a trusted VPN:<\/strong> Not all VPNs can access Netflix. Some free or low-quality VPNs are detected and blocked by Netflix\u2019s systems. I used a well-known paid VPN which reliably connects to Netflix in Turkey\/India. If you encounter Netflix\u2019s proxy error, try switching to a different VPN server or a different provider. <br><br>In my case, one server location in India didn\u2019t work during sign-up (the site wouldn\u2019t load properly), so I simply changed to another Indian server and it worked. Having a stable, fast VPN is also important for streaming in high quality if you ever need to watch via the VPN. Fortunately, after signup, you can stream without VPN, so the speed is only crucial for the initial process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No need for VPN after registration:<\/strong> To reiterate, once your account is created and paid, you can <strong>watch Netflix without staying connected to the VPN<\/strong>. Your account\u2019s billing country is locked in, but Netflix will always show you content for the country you\u2019re actually in when you watch . For example, even though I subscribed through Turkey, I get the full German or US catalog when I\u2019m in those countries. There are <strong>no content restrictions<\/strong> tied to the origin country of the account. This is great because it means after using the VPN once, your day-to-day Netflix usage remains unchanged (except your wallet thanks you!).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Consider the Mobile plan (India):<\/strong> If you primarily watch on a smartphone or tablet, Netflix\u2019s Mobile plan in India for \u20b9149 is an amazing bargain. It gives one screen, standard definition, on mobile devices only. During my Indian signup, this option was available and it\u2019s by far the cheapest legit Netflix plan in the world. It\u2019s something to think about if ultra-low cost is your priority and you don\u2019t mind the device limitation. (Note: The Mobile plan might not appear if you sign up on a desktop browser; if needed, use your phone or choose the Basic plan then later see if you can downgrade. I signed up for Premium but I know the Mobile plan exists for Indian users.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Account sharing and households:<\/strong> As of the time of writing, accounts created in Turkey or India can still be shared within a household just like any other account. Netflix has implemented restrictions on sharing across different households, but that\u2019s unrelated to where the account is from. <br><br>For example, I use the Turkish account on multiple devices in my home simultaneously (family members watching different shows) and that\u2019s fine. However, be cautious about sharing the account with people outside your immediate household or in different countries, because Netflix might detect constant usage from different countries and flag it.
